After completion of matriculate examination she joined B K Art college for her bachelor degree in fine art. She practiced different form of fine art for five years and then got a chance to work in Gyanamandal centre, At her job in Gyanamandal centre she got scope to work for social issues which are mainly related to tribal living. Milan Parida awarded Odisha Kalashree this year along with four working artists.

This year Odisha’s most prestigious Kalagauraba award been awarded to renowned Odishan master  painter late Dr. Dinanath Pathy. Odisha Kalaratna been given out to most talented Rohit Kumar Batu for his lifetime achievements in the field of art.
