After completion of matriculate examination she joined B K Art college for her bachelor degree in fine art. She practiced different form of fine art for five years and then got a chance to work in Gyanamandal centre, At her job in Gyanamandal centre she got scope to work for social issues which are mainly related to tribal living. She mastered in creating different tribal emotions in such alively way that one cann't stop prasing. She got many awards and prizes in her life but this year Silpi Utsav decided to award her Odisha's most prestigious art award Odisha Kalashree 2017

The most discussed and hipped Odisha Kalashree have been awarded to five deserved working artists. They are Sanjay Bhatt Binodini Behera Milan Parida Swarna Lata Satpathy and Pintu Mishra. All the five working artists has created a strong space for them in Odisha's art arena. Swarna Lata studded fine art from states premiere art college from state and also done master in fine art from gulbarga. She has a rare capability in creating art works in a regular basis.
